Il nuovo iPad è farcito di componenti della concorrenza, tra i quali Samsung che con Apple ha una guerra legale in corso per l'utilizzo di alcuni brevetti.

Il primo a svelarlo, dopo aver curiosato sotto la scocca del nuovo tablet di Cupertino è il portale tecnologico iFixit, specializzato nel fornire consigli per la riparazione di dispositivi elettronici ma anche per le sue analisi «dall'interno» degli ultimi modelli di gadget tecnologici.

Come si raddoppia

il costo di un sms


Spedire messaggi ha un costo praticamente inesistente per l'operatore, per l'utente invece può voler dire il raddoppio della bolletta.


Su alcuni modelli di cellulare come l'iPhone, quando scriviamo la lettera «E» maiuscola accentata l'sms da 160 caratteri all'improvviso si trasforma in uno di 70.

Lo stesso capita se scriviamo la parola «però».

Questo succede perché il telefono deve attingere ad un vocabolario speciale con una codifica più pesante per ogni carattere, spiega Marco Calvo amministratore della società E-text.

Dato che il “peso” totale rimane sempre di 140 byte, il telefonino ci dimezza in automatico il numero di lettere che possiamo utilizzare.


In pratica scrivendo un messaggio abbastanza breve di 100 caratteri, se dentro ce n'è uno speciale, invece di 1 sms ne spediamo 2.


Se lo stesso lo spediamo a due persone diventano 4 e così via.


La lingua italiana non ci perdonerà, ma ci si può difendere utilizzando l'apostrofo invece dell'accento.
