I nuovi pc della mela morsicata si inseriscono nella fascia degli ultraportatitili, mini-pc con con elevate prestazioni.
Al posto di unità ottiche e dischi rigidi meccanici Apple ha scelto la più costosa, ma compatta e resistente agli urti, memoria flash a stato solido.
Il primo dei due nuovi modelli pesa 1,3 Kg e ha uno schermo da 13,3 pollici con definizione di 1440 x900 pixel. Il secondo è un fratellino piccolo con uno schermo di 11,6 pollici e un peso piuma appena superiore al chilogrammo (1.060 grammi).
Batteria con una durata massima fino a 7 ore (30 giorni in standby) per il modello grande e di 5 ore per quello più piccolo.
Dischi a stato solido partono dai 64 GB dell'11,6 pollici (che ha due porte Usb ma non l'ingresso per schedine Sd) ai 256 GB del "fratellone" nella configurazione più costosa. I prezzi oscillano tra i 999 euro del modello base più compatto fino ai 1.599 per il modello grande più capiente. Il prezzo di partenza del MacBook Air da 13,3 pollici è di 1.299 euro.

The new PCs are part of the bitten apple in the range of ultraportatitili, mini-PC with high performance.
Instead of mechanical hard drives and optical drives, Apple has chosen the most expensive, but compact and shock resistant, solid-state flash memory.
The first of two new models weigh 1.3 kg and has a 13.3-inch screen definition of 1440 x900 pixels. The second is a little brother with a screen of 11.6 inches and a featherweight of just over a kilogram (1,060 grams).
