Accordo raggiunto tra le autorità saudite e la società canadese Research In Motion (Rim) per evitare il blocco dei servizi Blackberry nel regno wahabita.
Dopo la minaccia di Riad di bloccare il servizio per «problemi di sicurezza» - e una prova generale di sospensione di quattro ore delle mail e di Internet per gli utenti Blackberry nel Paese - la Rim ha accettato di installare un server in Arabia Saudita, accessibile da parte delle autorità giudiziarie di Riad che potranno monitorare, in caso di richiesta, la posta dei 750 mila utenti locali del celebre smartphone.
