Nielsen ha provato a misurare quanto le piattaforme impegnano i network:
Android è il sistema operativo per smartphone che consuma di più con 582 MB mensili, seguito dall'iOS, che Apple utilizzata su iPhone, iPod touch e iPad, con 492 MB mensili.
Al terzo posto WebOS di HP con 448 MB al mese, mentre Microsoft Windows Phone 7 arriva quarto con 317 MB.
Il meno esigente è BlackBerry OS, come più volte conclamato da Research in Motion, con soli 127 MB al mese di traffico dati.

Nielsen has tried to measure how committed the network platforms: 
Android is the operating system for smartphones, which consumes more with 582 MB per month, followed dall'iOS, which Apple used on iPhone, iPod touch, with 492 MB per month. 
In third place with 448 HP WebOS MB per month, while Microsoft Windows 7 Phone comes fourth with 317 MB.  
The BlackBerry OS is less demanding, as has often been acclaimed by Research in Motion, with only 127 MB of data traffic per month.
